In yoga, we work with the body gently — creating safety, steadiness, and space rather than forcing change. Black seed oil is often used in a similar way: as quiet, foundational support rather than a quick fix.
Traditionally known as Nigella sativa, black seed oil contains natural compounds that support the body’s inflammatory response and nervous system regulation. For those practising yoga regularly, it may help support recovery, joint comfort, and overall resilience.
For fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue & persistent pain
For people living with fibromyalgia, CFS/ME, or chronic pain, yoga is often less about effort and more about listening. Black seed oil is of interest here because it is non-stimulating and works gradually, which can suit sensitive nervous systems.
Some people find it supports:
Reduced background inflammation
Greater comfort in the body
Better tolerance of gentle movement
A sense of steadier energy over time
Responses vary, and it’s not a cure — but it can be a supportive companion alongside slow, restorative yoga practices.
Part of a wider practice:
The Serenity Reset
In my teaching, supplements like black seed oil sit within a broader, yoga-informed approach I call The Serenity Reset — supporting the nervous system through rest, breath, mindful movement, and compassionate self-care.
I explore this approach more deeply in my book, The Serenity Reset, released on January 1st and available on Amazon. It’s an invitation to soften, slow down, and rebuild trust in the body — on and off the mat.
